Brett Scallions leaves Fuel
On the official Fuel Web, Guitarist Carl Bell offers the official word that Brett Scallions has left Fuel, making him the second member of Fuel (drummer Kevin Miller was the 1st) to leave in the last year.
I'm sure you've heard by now, and many of you have seen it coming, but yes, Brett is no longer with the band. We've been trying to make an official announcement for a while now, but due to legal reasons and the general BS that goes along with the music business, we've not been able to until now. Sorry to keep you hanging, I apologize, but it's been frustrating for all of us. I have so many great memories with Brett, from the first time he sang with the band, to when he joined the band, through the recording of all the music, to walking on all those stages throughout the world, to just hanging out ... it's been a very good ride. We will all miss him and we wish him the best. Brett, we love ya brother.
Fuel, however is carrying on, and we hope you will continue to carry on with us. We promise to continue to give it our all and are pushing forward into the future with great eagerness and anticipation. I truly believe that this will be a whole new level for the band. Auditions have been very promising and I believe that if you could (and soon you will) hear what is happening, you would be very excited as well. The album is written and we are just working now to get all the pieces together to put it out. Hey, change is always confusing and frustrating, but at the same time, can be very rewarding and exciting as well. I just wanna say thanks for all your concern and for sticking with us this far. As a member of a band and as a musician, I am so far beyond what I thought was possible, it's ridiculous ... and I want to thank you all for helping make that happen. The time ahead will definitely be exciting and challenging, and I hope you will continue to watch as it all unfolds. I personally want to thank all of you for your posts of support on the websites. It means a lot to me. Thanks again, Carl.
