MASSIVE ATTACK HEADING TO U.S

The long wait is over as Massive Attack are heading back to North America for their upcoming 2006 U.S. tour - the band's first U.S. tour in eight years. Currently Massive Attack are in the midst of a summer World Tour, and will bring their spellbinding live show to the States and to such venues as the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, San Francisco's Greek Theater and multiple nights at New York's Roseland Ballroom. The band will also be headlining both the V Festival in Toronto and Austin City Limits Festival. A full tour itinerary is listed below.

Massive Attack treated Southern Californians to a sneak peek of their live show at this year's Coachalla Valley Music and Arts Festival. Playing to a crowd of over 60,000, the band (which included two drummers and vocals by Horace Andy and former Cocteau Twins' nightingale, Elizabeth Fraser) satiated fans with live renditions of such seminal Massive tunes as "Karmacoma," "Angel" and "Safe From Harm." The Los Angeles Times heralded the performance, "a triumphant return."

Massive Attack recently released Collected on April 4, 2006 on Virgin Records - a two-disc set containing the band's selection of essential tracks representing their musical legacy to date. The set also includes a bonus disc of previously unreleased material and a complete anthology of their groundbreaking videos. Rolling Stone magazine raved, "[Collected is] a superior, welcome collection."

Massive Attack are currently working on their fifth studio album, Weather Underground with long time musical partner and co-producer Neil Davidge. Weather Underground is slated for release in early, 2007.
