HOOBASTANK SETS FIRST MAJOR U.S. TOUR DATES IN SUPPORT OF EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF

As they bullet their way inside the Active Radio Top 40 this week with "Born To Lead," the new single from EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF, their third album, Island recording group Hoobastank has posted the first major batch of tour dates that will take them across the U.S., and (through January) over to Guam, Japan, Jakarta, and Singapore. The U.S. tour dates open Nov. 17th at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Florida, and conclude at the Clubhouse in Tempe, Arizona on Dec. 21st.

The gold certified, EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF reunited Hoobastank with Howard Benson, who produced The Reason, the band's Grammy- nominated double-platinum previous album. Since the album's release in May, Hoobastank has been touring the country non-stop with label-mates, Nickleback. The trio even made a solo jaunt to Japan for the 2-day, 2 city Summer Sonic festival where they joined an all star roster, including Linkin Park, Metallica and My Chemical Romance

In support of the album's release and its first single, "If I Were You" (#1 Most-Added Song at Pop Radio), Hoobastank made a series of key West Coast television appearances, including NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the syndicated ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live, and NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly.

Hoobastank delivered one of the true phenoms of rock's last two years with The Reason, Island Def Jam Music Group's biggest and hottest-selling album of 2004. The title hit, "The Reason," 2004's longest-running rock single inside the Hot 100, hit #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks, Adult Top 40, and Top 40 Mainstream charts, and rose to #2 on the Hot 100.
