The unforgettable "I Wish the Best For You," set to impact radio in November, is a strong follow up to the "gracefully earnest, almost anthemic first single" (USA Today) "If You're Gonna Leave," a Top 20 Hot AC radio hit. The album has been met with waves of acclaim, including a performance on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, strong VH1 video rotation and a two page spread in People Magazine.
It's been a busy month of October for Emerson, who celebrated the birth of his daughter October 4. He's just coming off a series of gigs opening for Collective Soul and Live, while two tracks from his debut album, "When She Loves You," and "Run To," were licensed by the new hit TV series "Cane."
As lead singer for alt-rock radio favorites Tonic, Hart enjoyed platinum sales and chart topping singles including the # 1 hit "If You Could Only See." Striking out own his own, Hart wrote for himself and outside projects, including "Generations," the theme song for TV's American Dreams.
With a refreshed perspective, Cigarettes and Gasoline has proven to be a cathartic journey touching on forgiveness and the difficult topic of his father's still-unresolved murder when growing up. Paste Magazine observed these songs "channel the author's realization that life is precious and, like this album, not to be underestimated."
